years after the war, and everybody's gone their separate ways... duo's deep into college, and gets dragged to some huge swim competition by his friends. he's bored out of his mind and shoving bad nachos in his mouth, muttering under his breath about all these skinny boys with their big muscles and their big talent, and here he is, trying to suck his newfound gut into his jeans, pretending like he totally doesn't need to go on a diet (you know: 'cause he went from starving as a kid to facing pizza at every turn as a student, and he went from fighting battles to fighting homework...), when suddenly, suddenly!, there's heero coming in as the hot shot swimming dude from the rival college. gasp! ...so does duo run and hide before heero spots him from across the room, 'cause he doesn't want heero calling him weak and pudgy? or does he dart over to heero and make fun of his speedos? or should he go over there and try to make small talk with heero, to see if he's open to hanging out (or at least comparing notes about post-war life) for the first time in years (while maybe also making fun of his speedos)?
erm... that makes sense in my head. not too sure i wrote it out in any sort of coherent manner, though.
oh well! if it doesn't work as a prompt, at least it'll work as an anti-prompt of what *not* to write! ha!
